Trump being probed for possible obstruction of justice

The five told the American newspaper that three senior United States intelligence officials are ready to appear in front of Special Consul Mueller and provide testimony in the matter.

"The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", a spokesperson for Mr Trump's personal lawyer told the Post.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel shortly after Comey's firing.

Then just last week, Entous followed up by reporting a new example of Trump personally trying to interfere with an FBI investigation to protect Flynn.

Already, in recent days, reports indicated that President Trump is musing about firing Mueller as special counsel, and Trump allies in the media argued that he should do so.

Former FBI director James Comey told Congress last week he believed he was sacked by Trump to undermine the agency's Russian Federation probe.

Alvaro Morata's Man United move is great news for Getafe
Morata managed to hit 22 goals across all competitions for La Liga giants Madrid last season, which is an impressive haul considering he is behind Karim Benzema in the pecking order.

Also of interest to Mueller, according to the Post, are requests Trump made to Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats and National Security Agency chief Mike Rogers in late March.

The letter said the investigation will also probe Comey's testimony that Loretta Lynch, as President Barack Obama's attorney general, had directed him to describe an FBI probe into Hillary Clinton's email practices as merely a "matter" and to avoid calling it an investigation.

This aspect of the probe began days after Trump abruptly fired former FBI Director James Comey, sources told the Post.

To understand why Mueller wants to interview Coats and Rogers, you have to refer back to a pair of other major Washington Post scoops (from some of these same reporters). That was something that Special Consul Mueller would have to examine, Comey had said. But Trump did not do so in advance of Sessions' testimony. If it's not a threat - but a request - it could still be a crime if the threat is motivated by a corrupt purpose,"Robert Weisberg, a law professor at Stanford, told TIME last month". "It's my judgment that I was sacked because of the Russian Federation investigation", Comey said.

Investigators will also look for any statements the president may have made publicly and privately to people outside the government about his reasons for firing Comey and his concerns about the Russian Federation probe and other related investigations, people familiar with the matter said.

He declined to say whether he thought Trump sought to obstruct justice, saying that would be up to Mueller to sort out. To charge someone with obstructing justice, however, prosecutors have to prove that "the defendant corruptly endeavored to influence, obstruct, or impede" an investigation, according to legal and national-security experts at Lawfare.
