Benjamin Mendy Gets Sidelined for Seven Months

Benjamin Mendy Gets Sidelined for Seven Months

Benjamin Mendy, defender side of the team of France, will be operated on Friday, "a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee", announced his club, Manchester City.

Following the procedure, Mendy posted a picture on Twitter, with the caption: 'Surgery done: Jese and I nailed it. See you asap guys'.

"Mendy will miss the Champions League semifinals (first leg held 24-25 April and the second leg held 1-2 May 2018)", said Guardiola in a press conference ahead of a big-match match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (30 / / 2017) tomorrow.

"I don't know right now [if City will sign someone]".

But Guardiola insisted yesterday that he is not concerned by his players' off-field activities.

Trump says standard tax deductions would almost double under GOP plan
He went on to say his administration is working on tax cuts and reform that are aimed at creating jobs in the US for citizens. They also said the increased deduction will lower the overall tax burden, despite the higher rate for lower income families.

The French left back came off in the first half of City's 5-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace last weekend, and after initial scans left Pep Guardiola feeling optimistic over the scare (the Spaniard claimed that Mendy would only be out for a few days), the defender's season could well be over already.

"But I will return soon and even stronger", tweeted the lateral 23 years old.

The £49million summer signing from Monaco has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, likely keeping the France worldwide out for most of the season in his first year in English football.

According to the Mirror, City will now delve into the January transfer market to find a left back in Mendy's absence - with fears growing that his recovery could keep him out until the end of the season.

"We have alternatives in our squad - Danilo, Fabian Delph, Fernandinho, can play there, so we will see as we go along".
