Mourinho Provides Update On Pogba Injury

Mourinho Provides Update On Pogba Injury

Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the global break when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday 14 October.

The Manchester United manager, who is from Portugal but previously coached in Spain, has been called to appear before a judge in a Madrid-based court on November 3.

"His injury is not one that I can have the hope like I can have with Valencia or Jones", he said.

"He is just in a team where at this moment Matic and Fellaini are in the best form that I have ever seen them in". "So Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] and Pogba and Marcos Rojo, these players I don't think about them".

Ibrahimović was let go by United last season, after ending a superb first season with the club by suffering a horror knee injury towards the end of the campaign.

While Mourinho confirmed on Friday that Pogba's injury is a long-term problem, his side have certainly not missed their £89.5 million midfielder thanks to Fellaini's impact to the side and the revelation that has been Nemanja Matic.

October 10 is one of the most important political anniversaries of the North - the anniversary of the Workers' Party foundation. It can be earlier or later than the year's end.

Meanwhile, Mourinho, whose side face bottom of the table Crystal Palace on Saturday, has revealed he is more concerned about United's gruelling schedule than the standard of opposition they face.

Lukaku made it 10 goals in his first nine United games with a brace in Wednesday's 4-1 victory at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League and, despite only landing in the early hours of Thursday morning, is set to start again on Saturday afternoon.

"Without Zlatan, we can not rotate the striker, especially because Marcus Rashford is playing also in other positions", he said.

"I think every step in his [Lukaku's] career he grabbed it [the opportunity] with both hands". We think he is an important player.

"There were suggestions but not from me".
