Andrew House is stepping down as the head of PlayStation

Sony also reminded users that all previously released PlayStation VR games would still be compatible with the new model of the PS VR. It also said PSVR's packaging would change to allow customers to distinguish between the new version and the old CUH-ZVR1 model. The post reads, "A hardware update to PlayStation VR is being prepared".

The updated PlayStation VR, which will carry the model number CUH-ZVR2, will have stereo headphone cables integrated within the headset, with a slimmer and streamlined connection cable.

Sony has completed one year in the virtual reality industry with its first PlayStation VR Headset. The function can be used only when the VR headset is turned off. The unit will come in a bundle with the PlayStation Camera and it will cost ¥44,980, which translates into around $400. However, the experience is not complete until you buy the PS VR headset because it takes gaming to the next level by immersing you into the world the designers have created. It will have a new product image with updates to show the changes on the new model. Unlike the old PSVR which debuted past year, the new design does not require users to disconnect in order to view HDR content.

Sadly, Sony has not revealed anything about the availability of this headset in the market yet. Additionally, regardless of the multiple upgrades, all PSVR games will be playable on both models.
