'John Wick' Creator is Developing a 'Hitman' Series

The best-selling video game, Hitman, will be getting a TV adaptation. And just one week after IO Interactive released the Hitman: Game of the Year Edition, Agent 47 got a different kind of contract - a television one.

How an emotionless, nearly personality-free, hitman, who stars in very slow-paced stealth adventures, became one of the most frequently filmed video game characters we don't know.

Additionally, Kolstad will executive produce alongside Adrian Askarieh and Chuck Gordon, with the series being overseen by Fox 21's Bert Salke, Jane Francis, Gloria Fan, and Kira Innes and Hulu's Jordan Helman.

Hulu has secured a deal to revive Agent 47.

. The pilot episode will be penned by Derek Kolstad, the creator and writer of the much-loved and violent John Wick film series.

Some people point out one of the reasons why the two movies failed was because of an excessive amount of violence, which conflicts with the main premise of the game, which is stealth.

Hitman is a long-running video game franchise.

They've already confirmed they have plans for a second season of the game, and the Deadline report mentions them working on a second.

The 2007 Hitman film, directed by Skip Woods, saw Timothy Olyphant play Agent 47.

Hitman's two outings to the silver screen have not set the box office on fire, although I quite enjoyed the first film, and now our shiny headed hero is heading to an altogether smaller screen.
