UNO soccer earns first-ever NCAA tournament bid

This is the Cavaliers 39th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, which is the longest active streak in the country.

Fresh off a run to the ACC Championship game, Virginia men's soccer earned the 11th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. This marks Wisconsin's seventh appearance in the tournament and first since 2013.

After winning the Big Ten Tournament title, Wisconsin (10-4-5) will host Illinois-Chicago on Thursday.

The first-round matchup between UIC and Wisconsin is set to take place on Thursday at the McClimon Memorial Track & Soccer Complex in Madison, Wisconsin.

Michigan State led the way with a No. 7 seed, while WMU and UM earned No. 10 and 13 seeds, respectively. The national quarterfinals will follow on December 1-2 at campus venues. ESPNU will air the 2017 NCAA Men's College Cup at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia, with semifinal games at 6 and 8:45 p.m. ET on December 8 and the championship match slated for 1 p.m. on December 10 on ESPN2.
