You Can Now Preorder Apps in Apple's App Store

In addition to offering apps for pre-orders, Apple will report pre-orders as part of the Sales and Trends section of iTunes Connect. Apple allows an app to be pre-ordered up to 90 days before release.

Being able to pre-order an app directly from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or while sat in front of the TV using your Apple TV is sure to be popular due to how convenient it is. You will be charged - in case of paid pre-orders - before the download. Developers can advertise their apps well ahead of time and the customers too can buy one if they like in the nick of time. In June 2016, the company finally introduced subscriptions and began allowing developers to inject paid App Store listings within search results. In order for pre-orders to be available, users must be running iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2, or macOS 10.13.2 or later.

MyEtherWallet spokesman Jordan Spence said the developer had not detected signs that the iOS app was used to steal from people who had downloaded it, but that the team was still investigating to verify that.

YouTube rumored to be launching a music subscription service in 2018
Apart from getting major labels on board, YouTube is also reaching out to artists seeking help to promote this new service. Rumors suggest the platform kept negotiating with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment for over a year.

After a user has preordered the app, it would automatically be downloaded on the launch date. If developers opt in they can choose a download release date from two to 90 days in the future. Android users can simply pre-register for an app and be the first ones to try it upon its launch.

Apple has since removed the fake app from its store but due to the popularity of cryptocurrencies it is likely that a similar situation could occur in the future on either the App Store or the Google Play Store.

Interest in cryptocurrencies has climbed in recent weeks as the bitcoin has repeatedly hit new highs, bringing its year-to-date return to 1,600 percent.
