Trump is finally getting a wall built... in Ireland

The wall is aimed at preventing the harsh winter storms from eroding the golf course, a plight that the surrounding beach has already gone through in the recent years.

President Donald Trump has got a green signal to build a wall - not on the border of the United States with Mexico but around The Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Doonbeg on Ireland's west coast.

The work will consist of two new structures and a 1km wall.

The local council indicated that an appeal must be filed within four weeks, so the Trump Organization should know relatively quickly whether or not it can proceed with its construction plans. Objectors may appeal the decision within a month. Moreover, environmental activists have expressed concerns that the walls could damage the public beach and sand dunes in the area.

"Building a barrier in the middle of the beach is going to change the whole way the dune system works".

No, the CDC did not ban a list of words
Never before in the history of this top public health agency has any governmental gag order been directed against it. The Health and Human Services Department has pushed back on the first report.

Trump invested a reported 15 million euros ($20 million) back in February 2014 for the golf resort, which the application highlights has the ambition to one day host the Irish Open.

Joe Russell, who serves as the general manager of the resort in Doonbeg, also noted to the paper that the organization was happy with the decision and that it "had ambitious plans to expand its facilities".

TGIL will have to monitor the impact on beach users, local wildlife and maintain a surfers' right of way as part of the planning conditions. "We very much understand that there are a lot of local jobs involved from the golf course, but we believe that they could be protected by working with nature, rather than trying to control the natural system".

Despite not being a big believer in climate change, Trump has listed global warming and rising sea levels as reasons for building the wall in his original application for the construction that he made a year ago.

What's interesting is that Trump International cited rising sea levels and extreme weather in its 2016 permit application to build the wall, according to Politico.
