Donald Trump takes aim at Federal Bureau of Investigation deputy director Andrew McCabe

Donald Trump takes aim at Federal Bureau of Investigation deputy director Andrew McCabe

Mr McCabe's wife, Jill, received $700,000 [£520,000] in donations from Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe's political action committee and the Virginia Democratic Party for a state Senate race in 2015.

Shortly after the newspaper report was published, Trump retweeted his earlier contention that McCabe's wife, Jill, who ran unsuccessfully for the Virginia Senate in 2015, had been given almost $700,000 by allies of Hillary Clinton at a time when Andrew McCabe was involved in the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server as secretary of state.

President Donald Trump has full confidence in his new Federal Bureau of Investigation director despite a series of attacks on the impartiality of his soon-to-retire deputy, a White House adviser says.

Huckabee included in her tweet a link to an article titled "The FBI is Trumpland" which described the fall out after FBI Director James Comey made the decision not to press charges against Hillary Clinton, claiming there was a lot of "deep antipathy to Hillary Clinton".

The group reported that McCabe was at the time running the FBI's Washington, D.C., bureau that was assisting with the Clinton email probe and that he didn't become deputy director until after his wife lost her bid.

McCabe announced his retirement after a disastrous round of Congressional testimony, where he reportedly failed to answer basic questions about his connections with the anti-Trump Russian dossier and the investigation of Hillary Clinton's private email server.

Parents Give Teachers Wine With Picture Of Son's Face
But parents in OH got something more practical for their young son's teachers this year. Jake Sommers acknowledged his role in making his teachers work a little harder.

Earlier today, from Axios AM: President Trump's public lashing of the FBI, and the criticism by normally supportive Republican members of Congress, have damaged bureau morale, the New York. It is being reported that McCabe confirmed he was told by Comey that Trump demanded a loyalty pledge from the ex-FBI chief.

But it's less common for a deputy director to be in the spotlight.

After Comey's dismissal, McCabe served as acting FBI Director until the approval of the new director, Christopher Wray.

McCabe has come under fire from Republicans over the past year because of the bureau's investigation into the Clinton email issue as well as the probe into possible collusion between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

"FBI would set a risky precedent if it forced out dedicated career public servants in capitulation to Trump and WH pressure", tweeted Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

One of the main targets of the Republicans has been FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, because he worked under former FBI Director James Comey, according to The Hill.
