Fire at Home of Roy Moore Accuser Being Investigated for Arson

Johnson and some of her neighbors told AL.com that a young man with a history of public intoxication was seen walking around the house before and during the blaze.

"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson said.

The home of Tina Johnson, one of the women who accused former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of inappropriate sexual contact, has been burned down in a suspected arson.

Johnson's home on Lake Mary Louise Road in Gadsden, Alabama, burned down Tuesday in a fire now under investigation by the Etowah County Arson Task Force, AL.com first reported.

Kayla Moore drew ridicule online for the comment she made while introducing her husband during an election-eve rally, after saying her husband had wrongly been depicted as disliking Jewish people and African-Americans.

A statement from the sheriff's office says authorities are speaking to a person of interest about the fire.

"We have just the clothes on our backs", she told the website. "When the fire department got there, I started helping them".

Members of the Etowah County Arson Task Force say the fire that destroyed Tina Johnson's home Wednesday afternoon appears to be arson.

Moore, she said, grabbed her buttocks so hard she could feel the "dents of his fingers".

Republican candidate Roy Moore lost to Democrat Doug Jones in Alabama - a shock loss, despite the controversy surrounding Moore.

"I was so humiliated and sickened", she said.

Despite being backed wholeheartedly by President Trump throughout his campaign and dismissing the allegations against him as false, Moore could not overcome them.
