Trump's behavior at the College Football Playoff Championship raised some questions

Trump's behavior at the College Football Playoff Championship raised some questions

The country music group performed last night during the NCAA championship game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson in Atlanta.

Previous surveys have found that many American's don't know the full lyrics to the United States anthem, but for the U.S. president, a man who has attacked footballers for their actions during the anthem, his inability to sing the lyrics proved unpopular online. "It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem".

Some say he appears to have gotten part of the anthem wrong too.

Trump, who has made a respectful observation of the national anthem at sporting events a fiercely divisive political issue, stood at midfield and sang some of the "Star-Spangled Banner," while remaining silent at other times. As Americans commemorate King's birthday next week, the president will again be called upon to hear out those citizens who support using the First Amendment to protest racial injustice - including on the football field.

Steve Bannon Apologizes For Controversial Comments About Donald Trump Jr
Trump conceded that he participated in what he called a " quick interview" with the author "a long time ago" for an article.

Many observers were unimpressed, pointing out that Trump had adopted a position as guardian of the anthem. After a while, however, he appeared to lose track of the words, and began singing random words, with no concept of the song's tune.

Mr Trump has also strongly criticised National Football League stars kneeling during the anthem in protest against perceived racial injustice.

"We want our flag respected", Trump said earlier in the day during a speech in Nashville, Tennessee, "and we want our national anthem respected also". He said his grandfather had taught him to do this only during the pledge, and to only sing during the anthem. I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius.and a very stable genius at that! He has even changed the banner image on his Twitter account to a photograph of him standing during the anthem before the game.
