Russian Federation probe :Trump ready to speak to special counsel Mueller under oath

President Trump says he is "looking forward" to speaking with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and would be willing to do so under oath.

Trump shrugged off questions about Sessions' interview at the White House, telling reporters: "I'm not at all concerned".

Mueller brought up the issue of interviewing Trump during a late December meeting with the USA president's lawyers, John Dowd and Jay Sekulow.

Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign during the 2016 election has hung over the White House ever since Mueller was named in May.

US President Donald Trump says he is willing to speak under oath with Russian Federation probe chief Robert Mueller, reports say.

It appears that justice department special counsel Robert Mueller may get to question the president as part of his probe into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 USA election.

Politico reported past year that Mr Trump's cadre of attorneys wanted the President to be interviewed by Mr Mueller, believing that it could help the special counsel finish his investigation faster and dispel the allegations that Mr Trump committed any wrongdoing.

Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza felled in Melbourne
Open champion, had made it to the final in Auckland a week before this year's Australian Open, losing to Roberto Bautista Agut. It took Fabio Fognini almost eight years, but he's finally avenged a fourth-round loss to Julien Benneteau at Wimbledon.

As the head of the Justice Department under Trump, Sessions played a key role in the decision to fire James Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director. He has also repeatedly denied allegations of collusion.

Session's decision drew the ire of Trump, who said he'd never have picked Sessions as his attorney general had he known Sessions would recuse himself.

Comey's firing led to Mueller's appointment to take over the FBI's Russian Federation investigation. Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts and is cooperating with Mueller's investigation.

The attorney general also wrote a memo endorsing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's letter justifying the FBI chief's firing based on missteps related to the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Trump said he wasn't involved in the hacking of the Democratic National Convention's computers and emails, and has referred to the investigation as a "witch hunt" and a "Democrat hoax".

United States intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 election campaign using hacking and propaganda to try to tilt the race in Trump's favour. "I think we all know what everybody in this room would do if the President did that, and I don't think that is helpful to the process".
