Carson Wentz not surprised Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz typically waits for the media to leave before showing up to practice, but he was on the sidelines Friday watching his squad prep for Super Bowl LII.

The Eagles quarterback said Friday he tore the LCL as well as the ACL in his left knee late in a Week 14 win over the Rams. According to Lee Bowen of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the 25-year-old has voiced much confidence that he will be able to get on the field in time for the season opener for the 2018 campaign.

Drafted second overall by the Eagles in 2016, Wentz was putting up MVP numbers in his second season. I'm going to push and do everything I can to be ready.

During the interview, he said that "After we went in there and everything, it was actually the ACL and the LCL but I'm still feeling confident with it. I 100 percent believe I'll be back better than ever, stronger than ever, with no looking back". He threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. He added that his timetable is fluid at this time and that he wont' change his playing style when he returns. "Guys want to talk about learning to protect yourself, and we've debated that, talked about that all season long, and that'll continue to grow and develop, but as far as playing aggressive and being the player that I am, I won't change".
