Palestinian martyred in alleged knife attack in W. Bank

Hundreds of Palestinians have been shot, detained, or killed over the past two years in alleged attempted stabbing attacks against mostly uniformed Israeli soldiers or security officials.

A medical source named the dead person as Khaled Tayeh, a man in his 20s who had been shot in the chest.

Israeli soldiers killed, on Wednesday morning, a young Palestinian man near Karmei Tzur illegal Israeli colony, which was built on Palestinian lands in Hebron, after he reportedly stabbed and lightly injured a guard.

Massive clashes break out between protesters and Israeli forces in Jenin, West Bank as the bloody remains of Ahmad Jarrar, a 22-year old Palestinian allegedly responsible for January murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach, were retrieved by the Palestinian demonstrators on Tuesday.

The troops on Tuesday night were searching for Asi Abed El-Hakim, 19, an Israeli citizen and resident of Jaffa who is suspected of killing Itamar Ben Gal, a father of four, on Monday.

Adam Schiff 'must be stopped' as Democrats push to release dueling memo
The confirmation about Papadopoulos is "the most important fact disclosed in this otherwise shoddy memo", Schiff said Saturday. They say that this is about Mueller, but they say that it's an attempt to undermine Mueller's investigation.

Tensions have risen since US President Donald Trump's controversial recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

The U.S. move drew condemnation from across the region and sparked angry protests in the Palestinian territories - and multiple clashes with Israeli troops - that have so far left at least 24 Palestinians dead.

Israel's Shin Bet domestic security agency said that during the attempted arrest, the "terrorist" came out of a building and security forces fired in his direction. "A report regarding a Palestinian being killed and several injured... is being reviewed".

Israeli forces had been hunting for the assailants since the murder, with roadblocks and checkpoints set up following the attack.

Israel faced sharp criticism from the administration of former U.S. president Barack Obama over settlement construction, but that has not been the case with Trump's White House.
