Royal wedding: Security plans for Harry and Meghan's big day revealed

"The wedding is expected to attract thousands of people from around the world to Windsor and planning is well under way".

UK Police are urging the public not to be "alarmed" by the massive scale of security arrangements ahead of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, described as one of the largest security operations in British history. "There are also many security measures that you cant see", it said.

Security for the Royal wedding will include barriers to prevent vehicle attacks, armed police patrols and airport style security searches, police have revealed.

If the number of visitors proves to be a safety issue, Thames Valley Police, in consultation with others like Network Rail and British Transport Police, could order trains not to stop at Windsor's two stations and close off the route to latecomers.

The soldiers will provide ceremonial support at the wedding ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19, and during the carriage procession.

Once visitors arrive in Windsor there will be a screening and search regime.

Amazon could buy Toys "R" Us stores
Toys R Us announced March 15 it is negotiating in bankruptcy court to close all 735 USA locations and liquidate inventory. Remember KB Toys? The company went out of business in 2008, closing up all of its stores across the country.

The British royal, 33, stepped down as a Captain in the Army in 2015, but he and his bride-to-be have chose to include a tribute to his previous career when they tie the knot in May by inviting more than 250 military members to perform ceremonial duties at Windsor Castle, England.

Police and security chiefs have been studying lessons learned from the five terror attacks in London and Manchester previous year, in particular, the atrocities on London and Westminster bridges where vehicles mowed down crowds.

The wedding day will feature regiments and units that have a special relationship with Prince Harry, who served in the military for a decade and was deployed on frontline duties twice to Afghanistan. Symbolism for her love of Prince Harry?

Some estimates suggest security for the wedding will cost £30 million and police forces are talking to the Home Office over who foots the final bill.

Lastly, the Royal Marines will line the streets as well.
