Elon Musk Challenges Warren Buffet's Candy Empire With Cryptocandy

Elon Musk Challenges Warren Buffet's Candy Empire With Cryptocandy

Musk launched The Boring Company in 2016 to alleviate traffic jams with a system of high-speed underground shortcuts. The term "moat" in the investment parlance was established by Buffett. "I don't think he'd want to take us on in candy", he said. During a recent Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting, he responded to Musk's comments about moats, claiming that "there are some pretty good moats around". Moats, a competitive buffer between one's business and the rest of the competition, have historically been used by Warren Buffet.

After all, in 2016, Musk started up the neurotechnology company Neuralink, which will allegedly be building computer-brain interfaces where special implants are surgically placed inside the brains of humans, thereby allowing humans to "achieve symbiosis with machines".

Musk, who'd been kind of quiet on Twitter, revealed he plans to get into the candy game ... so any references he makes to Mars will likely need further clarification.

Elon Musk came out against the Oracle of Omaha's method of moats at Tesla's quarterly earnings call last week. See's sweets, according to Buffett, is a company with a wide moat, since it boasts a loyal, entrenched customer base, which makes it hard from rival candy chains to steal its thunder, Fortune notes.

MASSIVE explosion in London - up to 30 injured
Around ten people were taken to hospital, with Hatzola medical volunteers treating "multiple patients" at the scene. The Metropolitan Police said there had been no reports of serious injuries or any criminal allegations.

Make sure to check back with Tech Times as we learn more about Musk's new sugary venture. And Elon may turn things upside down in some areas.

Warren Buffett is the proud owner of See's Candy, which is touted as a prime example of successful moat-use.

As IFLScience were quick to note, a cyborg dragon would be something requiring mechanical body parts as well as organic ones, so if Musk really were to devise this dragon there would need to be organic material in it, which could prove hard.

Do you think Musk is being serious? Let's see how Musk creates Willy Wonka's chocolate factory in the coming years.
