European Union warns about 'dramatic escalation of hostilities' in Yemen

European Union warns about 'dramatic escalation of hostilities' in Yemen

It violates UN Resolutions with regards to ballistic missiles - and the Iranians must be held accountable for this.

Saudi Arabia said Iran was using economic gains from the lifting of sanctions to develop ballistic missiles and support militant groups.

"Saudi Arabia does not want to acquire any nuclear bomb [s], but without a doubt if Iran developed a nuclear bomb, we will follow suit as soon as possible", MBS told CBS in an interview.

Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, wrote on Twitter: "Iran interpreted the JCPOA as concurrence of its regional hegemony".

Saudi-led coalition spokesman Malki said: "This hostile action by the Houthi militia backed by Iran proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime".

Yemen's Houthis fired a salvo of ballistic missiles at Saudi Arabia's capital Wednesday - an attack Saudi authorities said they intercepted in the skies over Riyadh.

Qatar has yet to issue a statement.

Commenting on the USA withdrawal from the agreement, he said: "The 2015 deal only tackled Iran's nuclear role".

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been ranked eighth on a list of the world's most powerful people by U.S. magazine Forbes. Global agencies responsible for inspecting compliance have said that Iran was in full cooperation with the agreement's terms.

In an interview with Tasnim, ranking commander of Yemen's Army General Yahya al-Houthi said if Saudi Arabia continues to kill people of Yemen, Saudi vessels and sites at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait will become military targets of Yemen's missiles.

Residents said they heard the sounds of planes at midnight and they accounted four separate powerful explosions on a family's house in Al-Azrakayeen district, north of the capital Sanaa. The elite Iranian group has been known to work alongside Syrian, regional and Russian forces battling the rebels, and jihadis in trying to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but it denied any involvement in the attack. "We are trying to avoid at all costs direct military action with Iran, but Iran's behaviour such as this can not continue".

According to expert, when and if Iran decides to kick up its nuclear energy production, it's not going to take long for its weapons program to get running again, too.
