Battlefield V to be revealed next week

Electronic Arts acted unfazed by this push in a recent earnings call (via Seeking Alpha) where CEO Andrew Wilson suggests there are no plans to change the company's approach to microtransactions in games like FIFA, Madden, or Battlefield.

Ever since fans finally opened up the "zombie door" in Battlefield 1 and solved the puzzles waiting within, they've been looking to EA for more information on what's coming around the corner. On May 23, electronic Arts & DICE will unveil your next all-out war journey.

EA officially announced today that the next entry to the Battlefield series is Battlefield V, which will have its live reveal on May 23. However, some have speculated that it will be another period from the past similar to Battlefield 1. Just after The Daily Show's Trevor Noah confirmed that he would host the reveal event, EA went one step further and unveiled the official title. You'll be able to tune into the reveal at 13:00 PDT / 16:00 EDT / 20:00 GMT. Predictably, there are no details on where exactly Battlefield V will be set, but previous rumours have pointed to World War II. It also noted that the development team "will share their vision of the game".
