James Corden and Paul McCartney Shared an Emotional Carpool Karaoke Adventure

James Corden and Paul McCartney Shared an Emotional Carpool Karaoke Adventure

"The Late Late Show" traveled across the pond this past week as James Corden hosted his late-night talk show from Central Hall in Westminster, London.

But perhaps the most powerful moment happens when McCartney and Corden sing "Let It Be" in the vehicle and Corden chokes up with tears.

The two ended up driving in Paul's hometown, Liverpool, instead of in Los Angeles, and made stops at significant places in the Beatles bassist's life - from the now-famous Penny Lane, to his childhood home, to one of the pubs where The Beatles used to play before they became big stars.

Empty seats at World Cup as 5000 fans skip Egypt-Uruguay
Egypt has yet to win a World Cup match while Uruguay won its opening World Cup game for the first time since 1970. "We thought Salah would play".

Once back in the auto, McCartney opened up about the story behind one of the Beatle's greatest hits, "Let It Be".

It was previously announced that The Beatles legend was set to take part in the hit segment for The Late Late Show with James Corden, and now fans can watch all 23 minutes of the final cut online. So I woke up going 'What was that? So I woke up and I went, 'What was that she said, let it be? She gave me the positive word. "If my Granddad was here right now he'd get an absolute kick out of this". While there, Paul explained how he and John Lennon had rehearsed their first Beatles songs in the living room.

As their journey continued, McCartney shared the story behind the making of that tune and others, like the early hit "She Loves You"; gave Corden a tour of the home where he wrote numerous early Beatles tunes with John Lennon; and eventually surprised some unsuspecting pub customers with a live concert and emotional rendition of "Hey Jude".
