White House: Discussions underway for possible Putin visit this fall

White House: Discussions underway for possible Putin visit this fall

Daily News then tells us that the CIA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency released a "damning report" in January 2017 that outlined the Kremlin's clear favoritism for Trump. He just said it's not Russian Federation. He added any effort to organize a "so-called referendum" would have "no legitimacy". He also appeared blindsided when he was told the White House is in discussions about inviting Putin to Washington in the fall. Trump later sought to walk back his comments, but his conflicting statements on the topic have led to a torrent of criticism and a week of unfavorable headlines.

In a stunning interview U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen falsely suggests there are two sides to violent white supremacy, and is advocating for a "both sides" approach.

Top U.S. intelligence officials have said Moscow is targeting congressional elections in November as well. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss planning, said the talks would also cover nuclear proliferation, North Korea, Iran and Syria.

"Say that again", he said when told by a reporter Thursday.

President Trump managed to insight a furore following his remarks at a press conference in Finland, in which he brushed off the claims Russian Federation had meddled in the 2016 United States election.

Walking off stage with Putin following their joint press conference in Helsinki, Trump was riding high after his second summit with an adversarial leader in as many months.

The Russian government has proven to be more forthcoming.

The U.S. and Russia have been on opposing sides of the conflict in Ukraine, unleashed after a popular uprising against a pro-Russian president and Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. He did not elaborate on what Putin's solutions would be.

Trump was nonetheless unfazed by the backlash, deeming the summit as a "great success" in a tweet earlier on Thursday while saying he looked forward to a second meeting with Putin.

Entire Croatian cabinet celebrates World Cup semi win by wearing team jerseys
We will still be thinking of the semi-final defeat, and what could have been, but of course I want to play. I know the taste of losing a final. "We are only focused on our game and our performance", he said.

"There are many answers, some easy and some hard, to these problems...but they can ALL be solved!" He said the summit notably made progress on U.S. We want to keep our journalism open and accessible and be able to keep providing you with news and analyses from the frontlines of Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish World.

While speaking at an event at the Hudson Institute last Friday, Coats said the "warning signs" of threats to USA cybersecurity infrastructure he sees today are reminiscent of the warnings before the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

When asked by Mitchell why he issued his statement on Monday in response to Trump, Coats said he was just doing his job.

"OK", he continued, pausing for a deep breath. "Okay. That's going to be special".

President Donald Trump has invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to the United States for talks later this year, the White House has announced, days after he faced a bipartisan backlash for his comments after his first summit with the Russian leader in Helsinki.

The assessment found that Russian efforts favored Trump and the Republican Party, but Nielsen would not definitively comment on that piece of the report.

In a remarkable break with USA intelligence agencies, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen insisted Thursday that there was no evidence that Russian Federation meddled in the 2016 US election with the express goal of helping then-candidate Donald Trump win.

Mr. Trump tweeted that the two men discussed Ukraine but has not mentioned a referendum or revealed specifics of the Ukraine discussions. It was Congress's first formal rebuke of Mr Trump's actions from the summit and its aftermath. Dan Sullivan said "I wouldn't do it, that's for damn sure".

A White House meeting would be a dramatic extension of legitimacy to the Russian leader.
