Manchester United consider making £65m bid for Harry Maguire

Manchester United consider making £65m bid for Harry Maguire

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho accepted their 0-0 draw with San Jose Earthquakes.

Today, United are ready to make their move for Harry Maguire...

"I've just come back from playing at a World Cup, where I really enjoyed the high pressure of the games", he said regarding the speculation over a summer move.

Mourinho told The Daily Mail in regard to the future of Martial: "I would like to be in Los Angeles now and I am in San Jose".

Manchester United are lining up a £65m bid for Leicester City and England defender Harry Maguire, but it's reported that Jose Mourinho would have to offload either Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling or Eric Bailly in order to bring Maguire to Old Trafford for the new Premier League season.

United are expected to make a rival offer for the 29-year-old but "the lure of Barcelona is strong".

Those assets include Fox's Hollywood studios, content library, cable channels, global networks, and 39 percent stake in Sky. The Justice Department is appealing a judge's ruling that swept aside all objections to the AT&T/Time Warner merger.

Maguire, who only arrived at the King Power stadium past year in a £17m move from Hull City, has become one of the hottest properties in the English game after his standout performances in the World Cup and the Mail says Mourinho was mightily impressed by his "mental toughness".

"Mourinho's side are now just 11/10 to sign the Leicester defender, having been available at 10/1 a few days ago".

Maguire could replace Phil Jones or Smalling in Mourinho's line-up, as he has done with England.

The report says Leicester are trying to tie Maguire down to a new long-term contract worth £75,000-a-week but know he could leave as the defender could earn far more at United so they're already on the look out for potential replacements.

However, ESPN also claimed that Mourinho would be happy to let Martial go, though he may have to persuade United's Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, who is supposedly leaning towards keeping the France worldwide.
