Brett Kavanaugh: Trump doubts 'drunk' sex assault accuser

Three women have now accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

Republicans said they were determined to push the nomination through the narrowly-divided Senate as soon as a possible, rejecting Democratic calls to freeze the process to let the FBI investigate all of the allegations.

The Alaska senator, who still hasn't decided how she'll vote on Ford's nomination, told CNN on Friday she plans to wait until after Thursday's testimony from Ford and Kavanaugh before deciding whether to back his nomination.

His attorney, Beth Wilkinson, in televised interviews on Wednesday said Ford's declarations cited recent interactions, not discussions at the time of the alleged incident.

Republicans, with a 51-49 Senate majority, can confirm Kavanaugh if they stay united.

Those elections could shift the balance of power in Congress as Democrats seek to regain control from conservatives. Kavanaugh grinded his body against hers and attempted to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it, she said.

"During the twelve days since Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein publicly announced the existence of an unspecified allegation against Brett Kavanaugh, the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows have spent almost six hours (344 minutes) regurgitating various unproved allegations against the Supreme Court nominee", wrote Rich Noyes, a senior analyst for Newsbusters.org, a conservative press watchdog. But, he said, the issue is a "moot point" because the committee has not invited her to speak. Two other friends, Adela Gildo-Mazzon and Rebecca White, said Ford had made similar remarks to them, in 2013 and 2017 respectively, describing an alleged assault by a teenager who later became a federal judge.

"I drank beer with my friends, usually on weekends".

"Christine told me that she had been having a hard day because she was thinking about an assault she experience when she was much younger", Gildo-Mazzon states. She has said he forced her into a room at a high school party, held her on a bed and tried removing her clothes as he muffled her mouth with his hands.

Ramirez told the magazine that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while they were both students at Yale.

Kenyan Kipchoge shatters marathon world record in Berlin
The Newspaper added: "When Kipchoge actually enters a race, he sends ripples through the field before his races even begin". As he he's done in his other major victories, Kipchoge smiled through any signs of pain by the time he hit 40K in 1:55:32.

Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the accusation. But a half-dozen of them have refused to go there, even after the pair of sexual assault allegations against the Supreme Court nominee.

About 200 people gathered in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington, chanting: "I believe Christine Ford."U.S. Capitol Police reported that 128 people were arrested on charges of unlawfully demonstrating in Senate office buildings".

Said Trump: "They could have pushed it through two and a half weeks ago and you wouldn't be talking about it right now, which is frankly what I would have preferred".

"The second accuser has nothing", Mr Trump told reporters at the UN.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., was defiant, speaking confidently about Kavanaugh's prospects, assailing Democrats and casting the nominee as a victim of "the weaponization of unsubstantiated smears". A vote in the full Senate could happen as early as next Tuesday, senior Senate Republicans have said. Both Ford and Kavanaugh are scheduled to testify.

"Brett Kavanaugh", she replied.

The article said Ms Ramirez acknowledges gaps in her memory caused by alcohol that night.

President Trump assailed the latest woman to accuse Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, saying on Tuesday that she "has nothing" because she was "messed up" at the time, even as a key Republican senator urged colleagues to take the accusations seriously.

"The Democrats are playing a con game".

Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford wrote the Senate committee that will take her testimony Thursday seeking "respectful" treatment - and claimed she has received death threats and had to hire private security. Yet the undeclared bloc of Democratic senators could be a problem for Democratic leaders, who want to put the weight of the nomination entirely on a handful of holdout Republicans.
