Pogba Not To Captain Man U Again, Mourinho Confirms

Pogba Not To Captain Man U Again, Mourinho Confirms

Jose Mourinho denied any falling-out with Paul Pogba after stripping him of the Manchester United vice-captaincy, but footage has emerged of a tense-looking discussion between the pair at training on Wednesday morning. The players were superb against Brentford and they deserved the chance to play at Old Trafford.

Members of United's hierarchy are concerned with the situation and have urged Woodward to organise a meeting between Pogba and Mourinho so they can resolve their problems - this time behind closed doors rather than in front of the cameras.

"There's talk of him moving on and leaving Manchester United".

The French World Cup victor was stripped of the club's vice captaincy on Tuesday, and a fresh report on Tuesday night from Mail Online claims that Mourinho made the decision following Pogba's admission.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba are seen after the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur in Manchester August 27, 2018.

However, speaking on "The Debate", Rosenior took Mourinho's side, saying that the Portuguese was left with no option but to make a stand against player power.

Between now and Saturday's game at the London Stadium we hope calms heads can prevail and both Pogba and Mourinho can get on the same page.

Manchester United vs. Derby County - Football Match Report
The Portuguese midfielder joined the Wolves past year and helped them gain promotion to the Premier League . Pogba served as captain in the team's 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday and on two other occasions.

"You think I criticise?"

Paul Pogba's stint at Manchester United appears to be coming to an end, particularly after the latest setback in his relationship with Jose Mourinho. He's got talent but his big problem is understanding the game.

Derby defeated United 8-7 on penalties at Old Trafford after the third-round clash ended 2-2 at 90 minutes.

Sky Sports News' microphones picked up Mourinho bringing United press officer John Allen into the conversation, asking him: "When did Paul post that Instagram?"

I can't think of a more ill-fitting player for Barcelona.

And while many managers are happy to rotate their squads and bring in fringe players for the League Cup - Lampard played his first choice line-up and was rewarded with a win that can only boost his team's confidence. They played so well against Brentford and I knew how much they all wanted to play.
