President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen is postponing his scheduled testimony to Congress next month due to threats against his family from Mr Trump.
House Oversight and Intelligence Committee Chairmen and Elijah Cummings and Adam Schiff released a joint statement Wednesday sympathizing with the "completely legitimate" concerns Cohen has for his family's safety.
Cohen was scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee on February 7.
But Jordan and Rep. Mark Meadows issued a letter Tuesday raising questions about the usefulness of Cohen's testimony when many topics were off limits, citing a conversation they had with Davis. On Sunday, Giuliani quoted Trump as saying that the Moscow negotiations were "going on from the day I announced to the day I won". "I can say that a congressional hearing that is narrow in scope is not a real congressional hearing".

"There's one Trump/Moscow link where the emerging evidence is already as damning as it is disturbing: during much, if not all, of Trump's campaign, he sought to enrich himself by pursuing a luxury hotel/condominium/office deal in Russian Federation known as Trump Tower Moscow", USA Today stresses.
"He's always been threatened by the truth and he doesn't want to do that, probably for me or other of his clients", Trump said during an unrelated event on health care costs.
Last month, he entered a guilty plea for lying to Congress about the timing and discussions about a proposed Trump Tower building in Moscow that was under consideration during the campaign. "So round one goes to them unless the committee can figure out a way to make sure Michael Cohen is there".
The committees have been in touch with Cohen and offered to work with law enforcement to enhance security measures to protect his family and is in touch with Cohen's lawyers about when he would testify, they said. The report does not specify what Trump said to Cohen or when he said it.
