And Apple doesn't have a fix yet

Without the recipient answering the phone, audio from the other user's phone is then streamed to the caller. Under certain circumstances, the glitch also allowed callers to see the person they were calling before they picked up. So when a user makes Group FaceTime call to another user, the caller is able to listen to the recipient even before he has accepted the call. As an advisory it's worth, for the time being at least, completely disabling FaceTime where you can across iPhone, Mac and iPads. According to the report, a user running iOS 12.1 could potentially exploit the vulnerability to eavesdrop on others through a group FaceTime call. CNBC reports that a bug allows you to listen from someone else's phone even before they answer your call. By adding their own phone number and then starting a Group FaceTime call, they could hear audio from the other person's phone before the call had been accepted or rejected. Mashable discovered that it also let callers see through the recipient's FaceTime (front-facing) camera.

In some cases, the target iPhone would send video, probably without the receiver's knowledge, the BBC reported.

Apple does seem to have temporarily disabled FaceTime due to the serious privacy risk it poses, though that should not stop you from turning off the service on your device as well. The last thing you would ever want from your device is a breach of privacy where all of your private information is leaked.

Injury sidelines All-Star Oladipo
The Pacers now hold the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and are 17 games above.500 for the first time in 4½ years. The Pacers would go on to beat the Raptors 110-106 to move a season-high 17 games over the.500 mark.

The glitch affects devices using versions iOS 12.1 or later.

Apple said in a statement Monday night that it has identified a fix for the problem and will release it in a software update later this week. Apple is now fixing the issue with the glitch.

On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings FaceTime, and toggle off the green button at the top of the screen. In macOS, you have to open FaceTime, then select "Turn FaceTime Off" from the menu bar.
