Texas Man Dies After Exploding Vape Pen Severs Major Artery

William Brown died after his left internal carotid artery was severed due to trauma from the exploding vape pen he just bought from Smoke & Vape DZ in Keller, a town just north of Fort Worth, his distraught grandmother told WFAA. When he went back to his vehicle to use the vape pen the battery exploded, she said.

"He should have made it if they had done the surgery", Alice Brown told KTVT.

His family said doctors took X-rays and knew Brown had a piece of e-cigarette lodged in his throat and put him in a medically-induced coma, but never operated on him.

William Brown was at a vaporiser store in Keller in the USA when it happened. "It's a waste of the things he could have accomplished", Alice added.

"It just all seems so unreal". Furthermore, Alice told the Star-Telegram that she did manage to find the pen's battery, which still had the serial number, when searching her auto.

"That three-piece thing went into his throat and stayed there, and that's what they should have taken out as soon as he went to the hospital, and they chose to wait until Monday or Tuesday", said Brown.

Images of Persons of Interest in Jussie Smollett Attack Released
This week, fans of the TV series Empire awoke to the horrific news that Jussie Smollett had been injured in a vicious attack. There is no footage or image showing an actual attack taking place like the one Smollett has described to investigators.

Mr Brown was at least the second person to die from an exploding vaporiser in the United States over the past 12 months. She said they are continuing to communicate with Brown's family and expressed their honest condolences. Luckily she says she managed to retrieve the battery with the serial number.

He also suffered burns on about 80 percent of his body. The agency notes that most explosions occur while the device's battery is charging.

A FEMA report published in 2017 listed 195 incidents of explosions or fires caused by e-cigarettes between January 2009 and December 2016. Last May, a man in St. Petersburg, Florida died after his vape exploded and sent two pieces of shrapnel into his brain.

An e-cigarette is being blamed for the death of a Fort Worth man, CBS Dallas reports.

The moment an e-cigarette exploded into flames in a man's pocket was caught on camera in California previous year. Of those cases, 133 people were injured, 38 of them severely.

The Food and Drug Administration haswarned about the dangers of exploding e-cigarettes.
