Pakistani PM offers cooperation in probe into Indian-controlled Kashmir attack

Under the Modi government, India has been transformed into a frontline state in U.S. war preparations against Beijing.

With global pressure mounting over it following the terror attack in Pulwama last week, Pakistan has turned tothe United Nations for help. "When it comes to cricket, I don't think we should have any relations with them otherwise they will keep treating us like this", he added. "And after that where will it head?"

They killed three militants of the Pakistan-backed JeM, two of them Pakistani nationals identified as Kamran and Abdul Rashid alias Ghazi Umar. They have fought countless skirmishes along their de facto border, which the United Nations monitors, in the Himalayan region.

The JeM claimed responsibility for the attack on a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force on Jammu and Kashmir's main highway, local news reports said.

"There are people in India who want to make Pakistan and Kashmiris look bad", some of the diplomats were told by Pakistani officials.

He said that Pakistan is open to any investigation in the attack "It is in our interest that nobody from our soil spreads violence". And we will take action not because of [external] pressure, but because these people would be enemies of Pakistan.

Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir, a former princely state on the border between India and Pakistan, has been in dispute since the partition of India in 1947.

Khan's message came as India said it had killed the alleged militant behind the attack.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi sent a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres alleging that "for domestic political reasons, India has deliberately ratcheted up its hostile rhetoric against Pakistan and created a tense environment". Pakistan called on the U.N.to help defuse tensions.

Singh also applauded the support of virtually all establishment parties for a military move against Pakistan.

"Any attack by India will affect the stability of the entire region and impact the momentum", the ambassador, Zahid Nasrullah, told reporters in the Afghan capital. Aljazeera reported that "20-year-old Adil Dar rammed his auto filled with explosives into a convoy carrying Indian paramilitary forces, killing 42 of them".
