Warmbier’s parents blame NKorea ‘evil regime’ in son’s death

Warmbier’s parents blame NKorea ‘evil regime’ in son’s death

The parents of an American college student who died following months of detention in North Korea rebuked President Donald Trump today, saying Kim Jong Un "and his evil regime" are responsible for their son's death.

"After this summit, we have noticed that both sides made statements about the lifting of sanctions".

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she thought there was "something wrong" with the U.S. president choosing to believe "thugs" like Putin and Kim over the USA intelligence community. "The president agrees with the Warmbier family and holds North Korea responsible for Otto Warmbier's death", Conway said. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for unimaginable cruelty and inhumanity.

In his post-summit news conference in Hanoi on Thursday, President Donald Trump praised Chinese leader Xi Jinping for being "very helpful" with North Korea.

During his meeting with Kim Jon Un in Vietnam this week, Trump raised the issue of Otto Warmbier, but accepted Kim's assurance that the North Korean Premier was not involved in his death.

"He likes me. I like him", Mr. Trump told Hannity.

Trump's statement provoked immediate criticism from human rights advocates and USA lawmakers.

Pompeo said the DPRK has indeed demanded for "full sanctions relief" at the Hanoi summit, which the United States does not prepare to do or prepare to offer any answer.

"I believe something very bad happened to him", Trump said.

"We will establish a permanent peace regime without fail on the basis of our unwavering will, close ROK-U.S. coordination, a settlement in North Korea-U.S. talks and support from the worldwide community". They said "no excuses or lavish praise can change that".

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Minister's remarks.

"Otto Warmbier's bogus arrest and brutal murder was an global incident. I like him. We get along great".

The United States and South Korea have suspended a number of military exercises since the first summit past year between Kim and Trump to encourage talks with North Korea.

Warmbier, 22, died on June 19, 2017, in his home in OH shortly after he was flown home in a coma after being held by North Korea for 17 months. Trump had two hours of one-to-one talks with the North Korean leader on Wednesday.

Chairman Kim also met with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (R).

Republican and Democratic politicians, including Trump's former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, quickly rebutted Trump's claim of Kim's innocence.

Iran's Zarif signs Armenia deals, continuing duties
The US-educated veteran diplomat helped craft the pact that curbed Iran's nuclear program in return for sanctions relief. However, it came after Zarif was not present for a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday.
